Our first time here and it was a great find on our weekend away. We booked last minute for a Sunday lunch with the family. The kids roast dinner was almost the same size as mine, our seven year old was delighted! Excellent food and good choice of drinks. One we will visit again on our next trip to Norfolk

Visited for a family birthday. Cute village pub in a lovely location. A nice mix of local produce on the menu which was really well cooked presented (loved the veg). Our daughter's burger was a mini version of the main - Not the usual nasty nuggets/frozen rubbish. Friendly and thoughtful staff

Just eat here! If you’re in the area and trying to decide where to eat. Just eat here. We sat and read dozens of Google reviews of local pubs and it felt a bit like a mine field. It was our last night of holiday and we wanted a great night out. We couldn’t decide on where to go (and obviously didn’t want to be disappointed) we took a gamble and chose The Walpole Arms. Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed. It was a Saturday evening, we booked late and they were able to accommodate us. We sat outside in the sunshine. The service from the bar staff was exceptional, the young girl behind the bar really was a credit to the place. We were a family of four and took our drinks outside to sit in the garden in the sun. The menu was adequate for both adults and children. The service was also pretty quick - which helps when you have two hungry kids. The food was priced well and I can’t not recommend enough. We had the crab linguine, burger, cod and chips and kids chicken goujons. A beautiful pub/restaurant in a beautiful setting. Stop looking, and just book. Thanks.

We had a family meal and everyone agreed this is a place you want to repeatedly want to come back to. The food was excellent quality, great tasting and a decent sup of ale.

Excellent fish and chips today, with attentive service and a good range of beers. A real tartar sauce, samphire and triple cooked chips, at 17.50 a steal compared to prices at some tourist haunts serving a far inferior plate.

My wife and I (plus our two dogs) were staying in Norfolk for a couple of days and picked out The Walpole Arms as a place to go in the evening. I duly reserved a table before we came away. Arriving at the pub, we stood in front of a beautifully lit building which was most inviting. Inside was tastefully decorated and had a welcoming atmosphere. We were shown to a suitable table and served our drinks there, a couple of very nice pints of Hazy Ale. We decided to go for the mid week offer of 2 courses for 23, sharing a starter and a pudding. For our starter, we chose the sourdough, with baked Baron Bigod cheese and onion marmalade. Delicious. Main course was fish and chips, beautifully cooked fish with home made tartare sauce, samphire and peas. Chips were hot and crispy. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding, very light, with a tasty toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. Have to say it was one of the best meals i have ever had in a pub, such a shame we don’t live closer.

Our first visit tonight and won't be the last. Lovely place, we sat in the beer garden and enjoyed the weather . The halloumi burgers were so tasty and the peanut brittle brownies were so good too. My son had a kids meal and it was huge, great value for money. Excellent service and great food and atmosphere.
